Slush

This drink is called Slush because it never totally freezes due to the amount of alcohol…it just becomes slushy. Back in the 80’s, I had a Christmas party for all of my co-workers. A few days before the party, my boss Carol asked me to make sure I had room in my freezer as she was bringing a beverage that needed to be kept in the freezer. So on party day, here comes Carol with this big container, filled with this semi-frozen drink. As each guest arrived, we fetched the ladle and gave them a “cocktail”. Everyone came back for more. I’ve served this drink many, many times through the years and each time, I think of that Christmas party and all the smiling faces.
