Every year when blueberries are at their peak, I bake this fabulous coffee cake. Bursting with flavor, this moist cake will please everyone. I prefer fresh blueberries, but frozen works as well. A special thanks to Ruby (RIP) for sharing this recipe back in 1971.

Lemon Blueberry Cake
Each year in late July or early August, a Blueberry Festival is held here in the UP. That’s when I buy a few quarts of fresh, Michigan blueberries. I head home, bake a pie and a Lemon Blueberry Cake. This lemony fresh cake is moist, laced with blueberries and topped with a lemon frosting that […]
The World’s Best Steak Marinade
There’s nothing better than a tender, juicy and flavorful steak. I’ve tried several recipes and finally decided I’ve found the perfect one! The original recipe called for 1/2 teaspoon salt. I omitted the salt as there is plenty in the soy sauce and Worchestershire sauce. Thanks to the Recipe Critic for sharing this recipe.

Talk about delectable…this is it! Rich and velvety smooth, filled with chocolatey goodness. Dress up any cake with this “not too sweet” frosting. Try it on banana bread for a real treat! This makes enough frosting to generously cover a 9×13 inch cake.

My friend Vera would bring this delicious Hummus which she served with pita chips or veggies. It is easy to make, is much more economical than the […]
