Orange Delight Jello Mold

This refreshing jello mold reminds me of the orange ice cream bars I enjoyed as a little girl. Bursting with orange flavor, it’s fluffy and filled with luscious slices of mandarin oranges.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon plain gelatin

  • ¼ cup cold water

  • 6 ounce package orange jello

  • 2 cups boiling water

  • 1 pint orange sherbet

  • 2-11ounce cans mandarin oranges, drain into a cup, reserving syrup

Directions

  • Soften the plain gelatin in 1/4 cup cold water.
  • Dissolve the orange jello in 2 cups boiling water.
  • Add the plain gelatin mixture to the hot jello mixture and stir well.
  • Add the sherbet and the syrup from oranges .Stir until the sherbet is dissolved.
  • Chill until partially set and then fold in oranges.
  • Pour into a large mold and chill several hours or overnight until it is set.
