Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake

This moist and scrumptious Bundt cake is easy to make and is bursting with chocolate goodness. I frost mine with a chocolate ganache icing. Thanks to my sister Kathy for sharing the recipe!

Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 package yellow cake mix (the plus pudding type)

  • 1 large package instant chocolate pudding

  • ½ cup vegetable oil

  • ½ cup warm water

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 small container sour cream

  • 6 ounces chocolate chips

  • ***Chocolate Icing
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees
  • In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, pudding, oil and water and mix well.
  • Add the eggs and mix until well incorporated.
  • Blend in the sour cream
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into a greased and floured Bundt pan and bake 1 hour.
  • Cool cake, remove from pan onto a serving plate and then drizzle with chocolate icing.
  • Icing
  • In a microwaveable bowl, microwave the chocolate chips and cream for 90 seconds.
  • Remove from microwave and stir until the chocolate chips are all melted.
  • Let the icing cool for 15 minutes, stirring now and then, and then drizzle over the cake.
  • Refrigerate cake until the icing has solidified.
