Years ago I found this recipe on the box of Bisquick. This pie is quick and easy to prepare and it tastes good too. Even the “picky” kid liked it. Sometimes I change it up a bit by adding an extra ingredient, such as a handful of frozen kernel corn or a sweet red pepper.
Taco Pie

1 lb. ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 envelope taco seasoning mix
1 can (4 oz) chopped green chilies (drained)
1 cup milk
2 eggs
½ cup Bisquick
¾ cup shredded Monterey Jack or Cheddar cheese
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Grease a 9” pie plate.
- Cook beef and onion until browned. Drain off grease.
- Stir in seasoning mix.
- Spoon into pie plate.
- Top with chilies.
- Stir milk, eggs and Bisquick together and pour over meat mixture.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Sprinkle with cheese and bake 10 minutes more.
- 10. Cool for 5 minutes
- 11. Serve with salsa & sour cream if desired.
