Sometimes you just get a hankering for fudge but you just can’t drop everything and run to a candy store. This recipe is tasty, quick and easy (no candy thermometer is needed) and the ingredients are things most folks have on hand.
Quick Fudge

½ cup Karo syrup (light)
1/3 cup evaporated milk
3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 teaspoons vanilla
¾ cup powdered sugar, sifted
1 cup coarsely chopped nuts
Directions
- Grease an 8x8x2” pan.
- In a 2 quart saucepan, combine the milk, Karo syrup and chocolate chips. Stir constantly over medium low heat until melted. Remove from heat.
- Stir in vanilla and sugar. Beat until smooth.
- Stir in the nuts.
- Pour into the greased pan and refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm.
- Cut into small squares.
- Makes 1½ lbs
