Chocolate Glaze Frosting

When I need a drizzle of chocolate frosting on a cake, I often whip up some ganache. But, I don’t always have whipping cream on hand. No problem, as this recipe is just as tasty and uses ingredients that I always have in my cabinet.

Chocolate Glaze Frosting

Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons cocoa powder

  • 1 Tablespoon + 2 teaspoons water

  • 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil

  • 1 Tablespoon corn syrup

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • Cook and stir over low heat until mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and immediately beat in 1 cup confectioners sugar. Drizzle over cake.

  • Combine the cocoa powder, water, oil and corn syrup in a saucepan.
  • Stir and cook over low heat until mixture is smooth.
  • Remove from heat and immediately beat in 1 cup powdered sugar.
  • Drizzle over cake
