Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter, softened

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/3 cup brown sugar

  • ¼ cup white sugar

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 2 cups chocolate chip

  • 1 cup pecans

Directions

  • Prepare the topping by mixing the brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, chocolate chips and pecans in a medium size bowl. Stir well and set aside.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  • Grease a 9×13 inch pan
  • In a large bowl, whip the butter and sugar together until well blended.
  • Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Mix in the flour, baking soda and salt, 1/2 cup at a time, beating just until incorporated with each addition
  • Add the sour cream and vanilla and mix until blended.
  • Put half of the batter into the 9×13 pan, spreading it out evenly.
  • Sprinkle 1/2 of the topping over the batter in the pan.
  • 10.Spread the remaining batter evenly over the top.
  • 11. Sprinkle the remaining topping over the batter.
  • 12. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
  • 13. Cool before serving
