Banana Nut Cake

Over ripe bananas makes this cake melt in your mouth. It’s easy to whip up and your family will be thrilled.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter

  • 1½ cup sugar

  • 3 eggs

  • 3 mashed ripe bananas

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • ½ cup sour cream

  • ½ cup chopped nuts

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cream butter.
  • Add sugar and cream again.
  • Add eggs,one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Add mashed bananas and mix well.
  • Combine the flour, baking powder and baking soda.
  • Add the flour mixture alternately with sour cream, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in the nuts. mixing well.
  • Grease and flour a 9×13” pan
  • Pour in batter and bake at 350 degrees for approx. 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Frost with your favorite icing.
