This is the recipe that turned me into a lemon bar lover. I had a “girls only” get together and my old friend Bonnie brought these bars. Talk about heavenly…a perfectly balanced combo of tart, yet sweet lemony goodness. The crust is absolutely amazing.
Lemon Bars

- Crust
2 cup flour
½ cup powdered sugar
2 sticks butter (cold)

- Filling
4 eggs
½ teaspoon baking powder
9 Tablespoons lemon juice
1 1/3 cup s sugar
4 Tablespoons flour
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- In a bowl, whisk the flour and powdered sugar together.
- Cut in the butter until small crumbs form
- Press the crust mixture into a 9×13” pan.
- Bake for 25 minutes, remove from oven and cool slightly
- Prepare the filling by mixing the eggs, baking powder, lemon juice, sugar and flour together in a bowl.
- Pour over the crust and bake 25 minutes.
- Let cool completely and then cut into serving size squares.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
