I was given a recipe a few years ago that required some Essence of Emeril seasoning. After going to three different grocery stores to find it, all to no avail, I came home and went online and found this recipe. It might not be exactly the same as the official Emeril brand, but it’s awfully good. I put together a batch and store it in a tightly capped jar. It’s such a spunky little blend, that I often add it to soups and stews for that extra “kick”.
Essence of Emeril Seasoning

2 ½ Tablespoons paprika
2 Tablespoons Salt
2 Tablespoons Garlic Powder
1 Tablespoons Black Pepper
1 Tablespoons Onion Powder
1 Tablespoons Cayenne Pepper
1 Tablespoons Dried Oregano
1 Tablespoons Dried Thyme
Directions
- Mix all spices together and store in an airtight container.
