Each year at Christmastime, I search for a new cookie recipe to add to my collection. In 2019, I came across this one, which everyone raved about. The hot cocoa kisses are only sold at Christmas time, so be on the lookout for them in November as they quickly disappear off the grocer’s shelves.
Desserts
Desserts need no introduction as beautiful confectionaries speak for themselves. Finish off a hearty meal with a sweet treat or enjoy a rewarding snack as you please!
Holly Cookies
, This is one of my children’s favorite Christmastime cookie. They are so easy to make. I decorate mine with 3 pieces of red hot cinnamon candies on each cookie so it resembles wreaths of holly, although I must admit, the younger kids usually pick off the candies
Heath Bar Dessert
This luscious dessert was extremely popular back in the early 80’s and it still “goes over big” today. Throw everything together, pop it in the freezer and “forget about it”…until it’s ready to serve that is! Top it off with whipped topping and heath bar crumbles and enjoy!
Gingerbread Cookies
My search is over!!! After trying many different gingerbread recipes, a friend came to the rescue with this gem. She found it online a few years ago, printed it out and never got around to baking them. So, I made them and they are the best. Tender, not too spicy and easy to roll out. […]
Giant Sugar Cookies
These tender and tasty sugar cookies are covered with a glaze, rather than sugar. They can be decorated by adding food coloring to the glaze. Even though my children are grown, they still love these big cookies.
Giant Chocolate Chip Cookies
Who wouldn’t love a GIANT chocolate chip cookie? A friend of mine has a daughter that does not like cake. When it was time for her birthday party, I suggested she bake these instead of a cake. The kids loved them. One batch makes 10 cookies.
Forget Me Not Mints
This is another one of my “Christmas Cookie Collection” recipes. This cookie is a pastel colored green cookie with mini chocolate chip morsels, and a delightful mint flavor. It is a meringue style cookie, that have a “sleep over”” in your oven. These cookies melt in your mouth!
Eggnog Snickerdoodles
This cookie recipe comes from my official “Christmas Cookie Collection”. It’s a crisp, sugar cookie rolled in sugar and nutmeg, with a hint of rum and brandy. I recommend buying those extracts before the holidays as they are hard to find once holiday baking season arrives.
Eggnog Cream Puffs
My absolute favorite Christmastime treat is a tray piled high with Eggnog Cream Puffs. These delectable little puffs are filled with an eggnog custard like filling.
Brownie Cookies
Shear ambrosia is how I would describe this cookie. Dark, rich chocolate cookies with walnuts nestled inside. Make a double batch because they are “THAT GOOD”!
