Brownie Cookies

Shear ambrosia is how I would describe this cookie. Dark, rich chocolate cookies with walnuts nestled inside. Make a double batch because they are “THAT GOOD”!

Brownie Cookies

Ingredients

  • 6 squares (1 ounce each) semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate

  • 4 squares (1 ounce each) unsweetened chocolate

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 6 Tablespoons butter

  • 2 cups chopped walnuts

  • 1 ¼ cups sugar

  • 3 eggs

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

  • 1 cup flour

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees
  • Melt the chocolate squares and the butter in a saucepan ,being careful not to burn.
  • Stir in sugar.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla and mix until blended.
  • Add the flour, baking powder and salt, mixing well.
  • Add the walnuts, stirring until combined.
  • Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet ( I line my cookie sheet with parchment paper)
  • Bake for 12 minutes at 325 degrees.
  • Remove from oven, and leave on cookie sheet for 5 more minutes.
  • Remove from cookie sheet onto a cooling rack to finish cooling.
  • Makes approximately 3 dozen cookies.
