I dislike beer, but I LOVE this dip. If you’re making this for a get-together, such as a football party, I suggest doubling the recipe. Speaking from experience, the men will park in front of the bowl and it will be gone in no time at all. It is best served with pretzel nubs.
Beer Dip

2 (8 ounce each) packages of cream cheese
1 (1 ounce) envelope dry hidden valley ranch dressing mix
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 can beer
Directions
- Beat cream cheese with the dry dressing mix
- Add approximately ½ cup of beer. Mix well.
- Mix in the 2 cups of shredded cheddar.
- Add more beer until the mixture reaches the consistency you like ( usually 3/4 of the can is just right)
- Refrigerate at least 3 hours before serving (overnight is preferred).
- Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before serving.
- Serve with pretzels nubs (short pretzel rods)
Notes
- This dip also goes well with carrot and celery sticks!
