It’s been over 40 years since my old friend Bong shared this recipe with me. It’s quick and easy and oh so tasty. It is served over rice and pairs well with sauteed spinach and garlic.

6
servingsIngredients
1 ½ pounds thin sliced beef
1 green onion, chopped (both top and bottom)
½ cup soy sauce
1/3 cup water
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon sugar
Dash of black pepper
Sesame Seeds for garnish
Directions
- Mix all ingredients and marinade for 1 hour.
- Stir fry for 3-5 minutes or until meat is done.
- Remove beef from skillet.
- Heat up the marinade
- Serve meat over rice, adding a spoonful of marinade to the dish.
- Garnish with sesame seeds or additional green onion if desired.
Notes
- If you need to watch your sodium level, I suggest using low sodium soy sauce. It tastes just as good.
